What is Zero Calories?
Most people understand that zero calories means not taking calories in food. But this is not the case, zero calories means that you eat as many calories as necessary for your body throughout the day. More calories in your body are harmful for you. People, who are thinking about losing weight, zero calorie diet is considered the best option.
Why calories important to the body?
The human body needs calories to survive. Your body gets this energy from food for physical activity, to breathe, to pump more blood and to move forward. We get all these calories from our food and drink ingredients.
Due to lack of calories according to physiological needs, the body gets tired quickly and if this goes on for a long time, then a situation of malnutrition is created. But it is not that you start eating so much in this affair that high calorie intake makes you fat. Therefore, it is necessary to eat only according to physical requirements so that our body gets balanced calories.
Types of Calorie:-
There are 2 types of calories
- Small Calories (cal)
The energy used to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water to 1 degree Celsius is called a small calorie.
- Large Calories (Cal or Kcal)
The energy used to raise the temperature of 1 kg Celsius to 1 kg of water is called large calories.
3 main components of Calorie:-
- Carbohydrate (1 gram) = 4 calories
- Protein (1 gram) = 4 calories
- fat (1 gram) = 9 calories
How many calories do we need each day?
The number of calories that men and women should take in a day depends on their day-long activity, their weight, height, health and many other things. Everyone’s body needs different amounts of calories. If you take less calories than necessary, then your body will be malnourished and if you take more calories than necessary, then you will become obese. Therefore, how many calories you should consume throughout the day depends on 4 things:
- Activity level
The calorie of a day should be 1800-2000.
The calorie of a day should be 1400-1600.
For 5-8 year old Kids
The calorie of a day should be 1500-1800.
